Musical weirdo and visionary Beatie Wolfe in conversation with Ulrich Schrauth (British Film Institute)
:
Join us for a chat with artist and musician Beatie Wolfe as we celebrate the launch of her new climate data art installation, "Smoke and Mirrors," at IBE House.
Known as one of the "22 people changing the world" (WIRED), Beatie Wolfe will be shooting the breeze with curator and artistic director Ulrich Schrauth (British Film Institute) about her creative journey and latest work. Combining art and science, this evocative new installation will hold its highly anticipated world premiere at SXSW this year! It uses art to visualise 6 decades of methane data alongside the advertising slogans deployed by Big Oil to deflect and delay ecological awareness. Don't miss it! www.smoke-and-mirrors.org
Smoke and Mirrors is part of the Future Art and Culture programme at SXSW produced by British Underground and Arts Council England with partnership support from the British Council.
