Join the Dutch Creative Industries Immersive Impact Coalition (CIIIC) in exploring the path to an immersive world rooted in public values. Discover strategies to empower creative industries and content creators within the immersive realm, while fostering collaboration between private and public sectors.

This session will allow policymakers, researchers and civil servants from around the globe to exchange ideas on the future of immersive media. Join us for a gathering that bridges the realms of policy-making and cutting-edge research in immersive media, technology, and digital futures. Our aim is to foster collaboration, facilitate idea exchange, and cultivate a global network of policymakers, researchers, and civil servants.

Mariëtte van Huijstee is Coordinator at Rathenau Institute, and author of the report Immersive technologies, In this scan, the Rathenau Instituut describes a technology that is still in development, in order to guide its further development and introduction in society from a public values perspective. It focuses on
immersive technologies, and shows in which social domains these technologies are already being applied (experimentally), and analyses the risks through the lens of public values. The scan also includes an analysis of relevant policies and an overview of options for action to mitigate the risks identified.

CIIIC stands for Creative Industries Immersive Impact Coalition. With this program, the Dutch want to enable the creative industries and content creators to capitalize on opportunities around immersive experiences.
